Bike riding lets you add a fitness activity into your day even when you think you don't have time for a workout. You get the same cardiovascular benefits from cycling that you get from any other form of aerobic exercise—walking, jogging or dancing. The proportion of overweight and inactive Europeans is constantly rising- by just introducing a moderate level of physical activity such as a twenty minute cycle a day, maybe to work, school or the shops there would be a 12% reduction in heart disease and a fall of 20% in some types of cancer.
