The cycle path from the Casino to Shorefield Road will be closed all day on 25th July due to Classic Car Show. Cyclists will have to rejoin the carriageway for that section.
On our last Back in the Saddle ride where we enjoyed views of Hadleigh Castle on our way to Benfleet, we had an astounding 42 riders join us. Thank you guys!
Let’s see if we can get even more at the next one. See you on Wednesday 21st July for The Southend Circle!
Bede said “I loved the doing the ride from Leigh to Benfleet, and I would really like to do it again. Five of my friends and I went on the more challenging route, and all the hard work was rewarded by a huge hill to go down! It was great fun for me seeing all the sights around Hadleigh Castle, where I hadn’t previously gone on a bike, and I especially liked the parts where we went down hills. Previously, we went on another really fun ride through Hockley woods, in which there were lots of very tight turns and steep hills to ride down. These made it even more exciting!
Thanks for a GREAT ride!”
A WARNING TO ALL CYCLISTS!! There has been a spate of bicycle thefts in Southend over the last few days. Please remember to lock your bike up securely
