We have a varied amount of work we do, from teaching Bikeability to both children and Adults, to promoting cycling thriough guided rides and also at large fetes and festivals.

As far as I know, there were still places availabale. Some of our team went along on 21st and had the most fabulous time! Further rehearsals will take place on :
23rd June – 1st full day of rehearsals with the Chorus, rehearsal directors and choreographer
…
28th July – 2nd full day with the Chorus

6 weekly sessions with the Chorus, last one session on 4th August, Mass group x 2 hrs, then run through/dress rehearsal, 11-4pm

5th August – run through, The Shows (one or two shows)

6 weekly sessions with the Chorus, last one session on 4th August, Mass group x 2 hrs, then run through/dress rehearsal, 11-4pm

I have been using Cycle Superhighway 3 (CS3) for a week or two now from West Ham to Tower Gateway(plus evening return journey) and can say that this route is fantastic and is routed through some very nice parts of the regenerated Docklands.

There are many knockers of Boris’s bike schemes in London – but if you look at how many cyclists there are on this route each morning and evening then I would say Boris has got it spot on and these negative views are well and truly in the minority.

This morning I even managed to get a bike check-up a, a set of LED lights and breakfast on the route all free courtesy of Tower Hamlets council. Thanks Tower Hamlets!

If anyone commutes in on the C2C line to the city, do yourself a favour get off a few stops early like me and use this great facility for a healthy start to the day.

Just came back from my first ride with Cycle Southend- I went out to test my readiness for the London to Southen ride- and I did feel encouraged – but more important was what an enjoyable evening it was. The Cycle southend team did everything to make it a pleasant ride for all. I enjoyed talking with others who also love cycling and bikes.
I will be looking out for future events- particulalry after Sunday which has been a big motivation-
good luck to everyone doing the charity ride Sunday and hope to see you then
