You can't truly know a town until you've cycled round it!

Southend is lucky enough to have lots of interesting places to ride, as well as having plenty of cycle parking facilities all across town and the surrounding areas of Leigh-on-Sea, Westcliff, Chalkwell and Shoebury. This makes it perfect whether you just want a short ride from Leigh to Shoebury or you want to travel around it all! There are always new places to explore, with new cycle paths and tracks popping up all across Southend and beyond.

If you simply want to get out there and riding, its a fantastic place to just give it a go. From sunny seafront to forest trails, long road runs to BMX tracks, you'll be able to experience top rides while enjoying the scenery. So why not try something a bit different, get out there and enjoy your town on a bike?

Check out the list below for a few ideas from the Bike Squad to get you started. If you have a places or routes that really got you back in the saddle, then drop us an email – we'd love to hear from you and you never know, you could see your suggestions appearing on the Cycle Southend website soon!
